Super Prostate Report: Lycopene may Reduce the Risk of Prostate Cancer
Lycopene has been shown to be effective in preventing prostate cancer in men in several medical studies. Normally, the level of Lycopene is the highest of all the carotenoids present in the prostate gland, which may be the reason for its anti-prostate cancer capabilities.
Lycopene is a carotenoid similar to beta-carotene. Lycopene levels in the body tend to decline with age.
At around age 25, the gland begins to grow again. This second growth phase often results, years later, in BPH.
