Enlarged Prostate (BPH): A Common Part of Aging
Zinc is probably the single most important nutrient for a healthy prostate. The normal prostate gland contains more Zinc than any other organ. Zinc deficiency has been shown to cause enlargement of the prostate.
All of their treatment methods, both surgical and pharmacological, are not directed toward restoring prostate health. The best that they can do is to try to help relieve the miserable symptoms.
After age 40, the cells of the prostate gland begin to continuously multiply, leading to an increase in prostate size.
